Moment Spurs fan Ella Markham, who suffered vile bullying over Down's Syndrome, leaps for joy as her team reaches Champions League final

This is the moment bullied Spurs fan with Down’s Syndrome Ella Markham jumps for joy as her team makes it through to the Champions League final.

Ella's dad Neil said he was in floods of tears at seeing her reaction to the win, a week after he told how she had suffered vile abuse at the hands of football fans over a video of her dancing.

Ella's mum filmed her jumping for joy at the nail-biting result in Wednesday’s game.

Mr Markham, 43, was at Spurs’ incredible 3-2 victory over Ajax at the Johann Cruyff arena where they went through to the final on away goals.

He said he now wants to take Ella and her brother to the final.

Mr Markham said: "They were all jumping around in the front room and Ella was singing for Spurs. I cried like a baby when the final whistle went and cried again when I saw the video.

“With everything that’s been going on in the last few weeks, emotions have been running high.

A big fan of Harry Kane's, Ella was over the moon to receive the video and invitation from the captain

“I just wanted to come home and see them after I saw it. It’s brilliant to see their reaction and know they really do support Spurs, it’s not just because their dad does.”

Ella, 16, received an outpouring of support from Spurs fans and players after he highlighted the abuse she had received – including a special video from Harry Kane.

The captain invited Ella to be a mascot at the Spurs v Everton game on May 12, but Mr Markham said he would love to take her to Saturday’s final too.

He said: “It would be the most amazing weekend, night of my life. Because of everything we’ve been through, but also because I don’t go to football games on my own, I go with my kids and I would want them to feel part of it.

“It would be really quite something.”

Despite the tough scramble to get tickets for the eagerly anticipated final, Mr Markham said if he was lucky enough to get a ticket for himself, he’s not sure if he could go without his family.

Ella is set to walk on with the team at Spurs’ final match of the season. Mr Markham said he’s received lots of kind messages hoping Ella could be a mascot at the final too.
