Moment Meghan comforts Prince Harry as he gets text from brother

The final three episodes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's docu-series were released on Netflix this morning (December 15).

The sixth and final episode captures a moment when Meghan comforts her husband as he gets a text from his big brother Prince William. Days earlier, in March last year, the couple's exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey had been aired.

Meghan said the couple wanted to set the record straight with the Oprah interview and 'fill in the blanks other people were filling in for us.' A clip is shown from the interview where she asks if there was a conversation about how dark the couple's baby was going to be. Harry responds: "That is a conversation I'm never going to share."

The day after the interview was broadcast, Meghan revealed that she had a text from Beyonce who was 'just checking in' and wanted her to 'feel safe and protected.' Meanwhile in the UK, reporters asked William whether he had spoken to Harry since the interview.

William said: "I haven't spoken with him yet, but I am going to." The reporter asks if the Royal family is racist, to which he responds: "We are very much not a racist family."

Back at their home in Los Angeles, Meghan is reading out an official statement from Buckingham Palace in response to their Oprah interview while on a call with friend and actor Tyler Perry. Then, Harry shows Meghan his phone. "Wow. H just got a text from his brother," Meghan says as Harry sniffs.

The content of the text is not shown or disclosed to viewers. Meghan moves to comfort Harry as he admits: "I don't know what to do." Getting up from her chair, she walks over and hugs him. "I know. Let's take a breather. Get some air and then we'll decide."

Later in the episode, Meghan says of the interview: "Oprah had originally reached out to us through the communications director when we were at Kensington Palace. There was excitement. I remember that."

Harry adds: 'We were here for a year until we actually did it. And sitting down with Oprah was a reaction to what had happened that year." Meghan says: "The more distance that came between us having a smaller role with the institution and coming over here, the more of a vacuum was being built, and people just genuinely didn't understand why we left."

Harry continues: "We thought that was the beginning of our year of transition which turns out was anything but a transition. It was just a beating."

The first half of the Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, dropped on Netflix last week and mainly explored the couple's relationship and experiences with the media. The highly-anticipated second half, which was released on the streaming service this morning, is even more explosive.

The couple discuss the their wedding, the growing negative press coverage of Meghan and Harry details his falling out with brother William. They also document their move to Los Angeles, with Harry admitting in episode six that he misses the UK.

He says: “I came here because I’d changed. I’d changed to the point where I had outgrown my environment therefore this was the most obvious place to come. This is one of the places my mum was going to end up living, potentially.”
