Molly Mae has a 'meltdown' after leaving baby Bambi overnight for the first time

Molly Mae revealed she had a 'meltdown' after leaving baby Bambi overnight for the first time.

The influencer had a baby with partner Tommy Fury back in January, and has been documenting the experience on Instagram and YouTube. She's recently gone back to work at PrettyLittleThing, and spoke about travelling to France without her baby.

In a video on her YouTube channel, she spoke about needing to go back to work because there's 'bills to pay', but said she struggled with leaving her new daughter behind. She explained that while at a photoshoot she had a 'meltdown'.

In the video, she said: "I’m going on my first work trip to Nice after having a baby. It’s actually quite a big moment for me.

“I am so excited, but it’s a little bit bittersweet because it’s going to be my first time leaving my baby. She’s three months old now. It’s low key making me feel kind of sick. I’m not going to lie. You know that kind of homesick feeling you’d get.”

She explained she originally wanted to bring Bambi with her, but then realised that that would be 'selfish'. She said: "I reflected and realised I was probably being a little bit selfish to take a whole flight to a whole new country. Tommy wouldn’t even be there to experience her first flight or anything.

“For the sake of two nights I just thought she’s going to have to stay at home and I’m going to have to go to work.”

But she said during her photoshoot she had a 'meltdown'. She said: "I did, in the afternoon, have a bit of a meltdown just because it was a lot to take in.

"That was my second day without Bambi and I think I keep forgetting that I am still only three months post-partum. I had not really prepared myself for how I might feel on a photoshoot. I think I had kinda not prepared myself fully for how I might feel on a photoshoot, three months after having a baby."

Opening up about going back to work so early, Molly Mae said: "At the end of the day, I am self-employed, so I have to work because there’s bills to pay. We’ve got a mortgage to pay, car bills to pay. I’ve got outgoings. I have to earn.

"I don’t get a maternity leave pay. You don’t when you’re self-employed, so I have to get back to work.”
