Molly-Mae Hague reacts to her NYE kiss with Tommy Fury and addresses cheating allegations

Molly-Mae Hague shared her shame over her New Year’s Eve kiss with Tommy Fury being made public in her new reality series, Molly-Mae: Behind It All.

The former Love Island star, 25, was seen smooching the boxer, 25, at a party held by Manchester United footballer Luke Shaw at the end of last month.

The couple - who shares one-year-old daughter Bambi - had ended their engagement in August and their kiss, alongside sightings of Fury outside Hague’s Cheshire home, sparked reconciliation rumours.

Hague reacted to their kiss hitting the headlines in her Prime Video series, the first three episodes of which dropped on Friday.

Her manager Fran called her, explaining: “Oh my God, it has come out right this second.”

Hague put her head in her hands and said: “No, oh my God, what? Molly-Mae and Tommy kiss on New Year's eve... that is so bad.”

On the show, she had shared her hopes that they might get back together, admitting: “I don't know what the future holds for us, I would be lying if I said my love just disappeared overnight.”

Elsewhere, she tearfully recalled pleading with Fury to refrain from drinking at her sister Zoe’s wedding.

In the first episode, she opened up about the breakdown of her relationship, revealing that alcohol played a major role in the split. Hague had previously announced the end of her engagement with Fury via Instagram last August.

In an emotional interview with Men’s Health UK this week, Fury shared that his struggle with alcohol, stemming from a boxing injury and mental health issues, contributed to the couple’s separation.

Reflecting on those difficult times, Hague said: “There were exterior issues going on for him that was causing our relationship to have problems.”

When her mother, Debbie Gordon, asked, “What issues?” Hague responded: “It’s drinking, isn’t it?”

Hague explained that alcohol was a trigger for her, as she had “never been around alcohol in a positive light,” citing her mother’s struggles with it after her marriage ended.

Explaining that she didn’t want alcohol to be part of relationship due to the past, she continued: “He wanted a family life but also have the life of a 25-year-old boy with no responsibilities, and the two don’t go hand-in-hand.”

She emphasised that while Fury “never had an alcohol problem”, it was the presence of alcohol in their relationship that created the strain. “It got to the point where I wasn’t looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.”

Hague then tearfully recalled her emotional plea to Fury during her sister’s wedding: “I literally pleaded with Tommy, like I begged him to not drink, and I don’t know, it’s really sad. I don’t know why I’m crying now. It’s just so sad. It just like affected me. That’s why my relationship with alcohol is so damaged.”

In another poignant moment, Hague had a candid conversation with her sister Zoe, discussing the cheating allegations surrounding Fury, which he has denied.

“I’ve become so much more aware of things going on that I was so naive to for so long. I still don’t think I know the full picture,” Hague admitted. “I think there’s a lot I don’t know.”

To which Zoe agreed, saying: “I think he was battling a lot more things than we realised.”

Hague opened up about the rumours, including claims that Fury had fathered a child with another woman. “The rumours that were coming out at the time… it was just like a lot,” she shared.

“People genuinely believe everything they read. I was getting messages from people close to me about, 'Oh really sorry to hear he's gotten somebody pregnant.' It was a build-up, and there were a lot of 'last chance' situations. There’s only so much you can take.”

She revealed that she reached a breaking point, saying, “I decided I don’t have another night in me, lying in bed being upset. I thought, ‘I’m not doing this anymore.’” She explained that posting the statement on Instagram was a turning point: “It was a situation, if I don’t post this statement, I’m not going to do this. I am not going to walk away unless I put this out.”

In a final emotional reflection, Hague confessed: “My life came crashing down when I thought it was going to be the most positive and happy time for me. Suddenly overnight, every part of my life changed. I really don’t know what the future holds.”

Molly-Mae: Behind It All eps 1-3 launch exclusively on Prime Video on 17th January. The latter three episodes will drop in Spring 2025
