New mum Molly-Mae Hague has told how her boyfriend Tommy Fury was waiting outside Tesco at 6am after the couple spent the night wading through all-too-familiar newborn parenthood woes.
The Love Island star welcomed her baby girl Bambi with Tommy at the end of January and has been sharing honest moments of her journey as a first-time mum ever since.
Molly-Mae, 23, continued to open up about her relatable struggles on Monday as she revealed that Bambi’s dad had been waiting outside a supermarket ahead of their opening time in a desperate attempt to help little Bambi’s windy belly.
The new parents had been up all night with their two-month-old daughter as they tried to settle her as she struggled with trapped wind.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Molly-Mae posted a video of her propped up with pillows in bed in her pyjamas while baby Bambi nestled into her arm this morning.
The tiny baby had her back patted by her doting mum and wore a white and grey bear-patterned Babygro.
Molly-Mae gave fans an insight into their disturbed night, writing a caption on the clip where she revealed her “number one” baby product.
“Not every Monday can be productive… We’ve been up allll night,” the influencer wrote.
“Tommy was wating at the doors of Tesco when it opened this morning at 6am to get gripe water for her (which by the way is my number one top product for a newborn with trapped wind).” [sic]
In another Story post she snapped a picture of the open bottle of Woodwards’ Gripe Water as she told fans how she uses the product.
“I used to walk past this in the shops and think ‘what an old fashioned looking product,’ now it literally saves my life. (We just dip her dummy in it and it calms her SO much,)” she wrote. [sic]
Tommy took to his own Story to snap a picture of two bottles of the oral solution at 6:06am.
“Duty calls when the little one has an upset stomach,” he told fans.
Gripe water can be used to help relieve gas in babies by breaking down trapped air bubbles that cause wind when other methods of soothing like massage or tummy time haven't worked.
Gripe water is also often suggested for treating colic in babies, but is not licensed for this use and there is no evidence for its use in treating colic.
The NHS recommends that there are more appropriate ways to manage colic so it does not recommend gripe water.
Molly-Mae’s sleepless night came just a week after she admitted to fans she was struggling and overwhelmed by becoming a new mother and all the trials that come with it.
She stunned fans with her bravery and vulnerability as she broke down in tears in a candid video last weekend.
The former reality star got more frank than ever before as she broke down on camera, admitting how hard the fourth trimester has been for her.
