Molly-Mae Hague sends out message to fans as she opens up about her 'gym anxiety'

Molly-Mae Hague has spoken out about her 'gym anxiety' as she returned for the first time in five months. In a candid social media post the 22-year-old creative director for fashion brand PrettyLittleThing admits the thought of the gym sometimes 'sends a shiver down her spine.'

The former Love Island star hit the stepper machine last night (Sunday April 3) for her mental health and 'overall health'. But she admitted that she had to fight the urge to turn the machine off.

Molly-Mae, who recently moved into a new love nest with her man Tommy Fury, opened up in a frank Instagram post. And she took the opportunity to send out some words of encouragement to fans as she said he was proud of what she had achieved.

"Well somehow guys my gym anxiety came very much back," she typed alongside a photo of herself seated on the floor in workout gear.

"First time to the gym tonight in months. I just can't keep a consistent relationship with it!!! I'm either completely in love with exercising or the thought of it sends a shiver down my spine!"

She continued: "I'm proud that I did my 20 min stepper tonight (I went to turn the machine off about five times but kept telling myself NO).

"I used to step every day for 20 minutes without fail. Tonight was my first time in five months. I just know I need to do this for my mental/overall health!

"Hope this is a sign to anyone that needs it. Small steps are still very much an achievement - here's to not putting pressure on ourselves."

Last week the romantic star from Manchester, who met and fell in love with boxer Tommy on the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show Love Island, treated her man to a 'different kind of date night' as she created a makeshift cinema by pulling back seats of her Range Rover and kitting it out with fairy lights, blankets, snacks including popcorn and sweets and cute photos of the couple.

Alongside video shared on her Insatgram she wrote: "A different kind of date night for my boy. Little surprise for him and he was so so happy. Cosy on another level."

Molly-Mae had even written out a ticket for Tommy on a post-it note to grant him entry which read '1 ticket, showing 7:30, screen - Molly's car, film - any horror of choice."
