Molly-Mae Hague says 'this happened' as she's seen bursting into tears over Tommy Fury

Molly-Mae Hague was seen being reduced to tears as Tommy Fury surprised her ahead of their anniversary. The influencer has been pretty quiet on social media since returning from a family getaway in Greece but she returned to Instagram on Friday (July 7), she explained why.

Molly-Mae, who welcomed her first child with Manchester boxer Tommy back in January, explained that she had been working abroad, leaving her beau and their daughter, Bambi, back at home. However, as they prepared to celebrate their fourth anniversary on Friday, Tommy made the trip to the undisclosed location to surprise her.

"So I've been working abroad the last few days," she typed alongside an adorable black and white photo of Tommy, also 24, wearing an animal ears headband as he held onto his nearly six-month-old daughter. "I was sat having a coffee yesterday morning and this happened..." she added alongside a face holding back tears emoji.

She then shared the video which showed her chatting away as Tommy walked in the doors behind her, pushing Bambi in her pushchair. Molly-Mae was then left open-mouthed when she realized Tommy and Bambi were in front of her and appeared too stunned to move as she clasped her hands over her face and started to cry.

"They flew over to surprise me," she typed alongside the tear-jerking clip with a crying emoji. "Never been so shocked," the former Love Island star admitted. She was then seen embracing her partner and giving him a kiss as Bambi was being entertained.

Molly-Mae then showed that the surprises didn't stop there as Tommy had arranged for their hotel room to be covered in flower petals both on the floor and on the bed while vases of pink and white arrangements were placed all around. "More surprise," the mum-of-one cried.

"Happy anniversary my love @tommyfury," she continued before adding alongside a close-up of some of the flowers: "4 down. Forever to go." Many fans may have been waiting for engagement news after Tommy revealed all earlier this year.

Back in May, shared why he hasn't - yet- proposed to Molly-Mae after she dropped a hint that he should pop the question. The loved-up couple met and fell in love on Love Island in 2019 and have since gone on to welcome their first child together.

During a work trip before their first holiday with their baby girl, Molly-Mae appeared to nudge her beau on the marriage front. While on a fashion shoot with PrettyLittleThing, for whom she was the creative director before announcing she had stepped back last month, in the South of France, the influencer revealed it was her favourite place she had ever been.

"It’s making me really question my thoughts of how I never, ever wanted to get married abroad," she told fans in one of her YouTube vlogs. "I mean, it’s funny because I’m not even engaged yet and I’m talking about when I’m getting married. I’m getting a little bit ahead of myself aren’t I," she said with a laugh.

The former reality star continued: "I’ve always just pictured when Tommy and I get married that it would be in the UK. We’d get married in a big church and do it at home. Now we’ve come here and I’ve seen this unreal location, it makes me think an abroad wedding would actually be pretty stunning."

Holding her ring finger up to the camera, showing off her perfectly manicured nails, Molly-Mae told her 1.7 million subscribers: "I haven’t even got the ring yet," before adding: "Tommy if you're watching this!" The exact clip was then played on Loose Men, an all-male spin-off of the ITV show, as Tommy made his debut on the panel alongside BBC Radio 2 host Vernon Kay, The Chase's Paul Sinha and singer and actor Martin Kemp.

Tommy admitted that he’d originally planned on proposing to Molly-Mae a lot sooner, but because of everything that his professional athletic career entails, his plans had to be put on hold. "My actual plan was to do a lot sooner but obviously, being a boxer, when you’re in a training camp you’ve got to completely shut yourself off.

"You want to just focus on the fight, so I can’t be going her, there and everywhere proposing," he told the panel. But Tommy then reassured fans who are championing the couple to tie the knot: "So I’m going to do it soon guys, honestly, I really am."
