Molly-Mae Hague on why Tommy Fury's Traveller upbringing makes him perfect father material

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced on Sunday they were expecting their first child together.

The couple, who first met on Love Island in 2019 before finishing as runners-up on series five, made the sweet announcement on Instagram, much to the delight of their huge following.

The expectant mum, 23, shared a stunning black-and-white video announcing her and Tommy's happy news and captioned the upload: "I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet."

The quote came from her finale speech during their time on the hit reality show that first introduced them to each other.

Following the news, Molly-Mae's quotes regarding Tommy's upbringing have been unearthed once again, with the 23-year-old praising her beau's Traveller upbringing.

Tommy, who is half-Traveller from his dad's side, is said to have more traditional morals and values, according to Molly-Mae. In her book titled Becoming Molly-Mae, she gushed how in Tommy's eyes, once you meet a woman you love there's no other direction to take, saying loyalty is key.

She went on to explain how he is her "Big Friendly Giant". She wrote: "I love his generosity - not in terms of materialistic things, but in terms of the fact that, every single week, without fail, he buys me flowers.

"He's just got that really old-school, romantic gentlemanly side about him. And I think that's what Tommy has learned from the Traveller culture - how to be a gentleman - because Travellers are raised with these incredible family-and husband-material views."

Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, who is Tommy's half-brother and nicknamed the Gypsy King, was quick to address the couple's pregnancy announcement. Sharing their sweet announcement clip to his own social media, the 34-year-old wrote: "So happy for you both."

His wife Paris also chimed in on the news, posting to her Instagram Stories and writing: "Best news ever you guys. So happy for yous."

Molly-Mae tried to hide her news by wearing baggy clothes (Instagram)

Molly-Mae had tried to hide her pregnancy from her adoring fans in recent weeks despite still being active on social media. She opted to wear baggier clothing in her most recent posts prior to the sweet video and had also avoided alcohol, but some fans had started to speculate.

Many pregnant women raise suspicion in the the early stages of their pregnancy if they are seen to avoid alcohol - with it often a telltale sign someone is expecting a baby - but thanks to Molly-Mae's pretty-much teetotal lifestyle, she avoided anyone spotting a difference in her drinking habits.
