Molly-Mae Hague defended by 'mum police' as she unveils Bambi's nursery and distracts with £12,000 cot

Fans of Molly-Mae Hague have jumped to the new mum's defence as she gave a full look at her daughter's nursery for the first time. The former Love Island star and her boyfriend Tommy Fury welcomed their first child into the world back in January.

The couple, who met and fell in love on the ITV2 dating show in 2019, announced the arrival of their first child on January 30 by sharing their first picture with their little girl, who they didn't confirm until later that they had named Bambi, and confirmed she made her entrance into the world a week earlier on January 23.

Molly-Mae and Tommy, both 23, shared a sweet black and white snap, which showed the pair beaming in the hospital with their bundle of joy, and simply captioned it: "23/01/23." It was 24 hours later that they confirmed their Disney-inspired name choice for their first child together.

Molly-Mae has since been sharing little updates on her new life as a first-time mum, recently sharing how she was so 'run down' and had lost her voice due to the exhaustion of life with a newborn. But the former reality star has since returned to social media to give fans a glimpse inside her daughter's nursery, describing it as a "little slice of heaven".

Sharing new pictures to her dedicated home Instagram account, Molly-Maison, which boasts pics of her and boxer Tommy's £4 million mansion, Molly-Mae wrote in the caption: "The Nursery. It only took me nearly 2 months to find the time to take pics of Bambi’s room… a part of the house that feels like a little slice of heaven."

She previously shared small looks into the bedroom which was decorated with cloud-shaped ceiling lights, plump cushions and a giant sofa. Baby Bambi's minimalist nursery features a neutral colour scheme with cream walls and matching carpet while a neon sign spelling out the little one's name lights up the room.

A pop of colour has been added to the space, with Molly-Mae has incorporated animal-themed furnishings, including a series of small books, a large giraffe toy and a framed painting of the Disney character, Bambi. The bedroom also boasts en-suite bathroom, which can be accessed through a small archway in the nursery.

Molly-Mae shared a sneaky look inside the additional room, which features stunning marble flooring and tiles with white glossy cupboards and a large mirror on the wall behind the sink.

But it was the cot that caused a distraction, and has done so previously. @jasmineakneale said: "Found the cot online! It’s on sale for £7,535.00 Reduced from £12,454.00 I would personally hate to sleep in a see through cold plastic cube in the centre of a room but the room and decor is dreamy."

@emilysmythxxo wrote: "Fridge compartment cot." @lisaking5642022 commented: "The cot looks like a secure unit from a museum. Just missing the laser beams round it. Sorry but does not look cosy or comforting at all." @natasha_wood_hill_ shared: "The love the room. But that cot does not look cosy."

But many were quick to jump to Molly-Mae's defence as well as sharing the love for the room. @han1a_x wrote: "The mum police are in full swing in the comments." @b.pai_ said: "How can there be so many negative comments on such a beautiful room for a very loved child?! Screams jealousy to me."

@hey.thecloset commented: "Gosh some of these comments as a new mum myself I’d be heartbroken to read this. Please remember that you are commenting on a real person’s life. No matter her status." @amylo_uise9387 added: "Beautiful, Bambi is a very lucky girl. What I can’t get my head round is why grown adults would comment nasty things not only about how YOU choose to decorate YOUR child’s nursery but also on her name!!"
