Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury spark outrage with 'fascination' over discount shop prices

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury's lavish lifestyle is envied by many.

Since finding fame on Love Island, they have managed to amass an impressive fortune from becoming household names.

And revealing that they live a charmed life, the duo, both 22, were 'amazed' when visiting discount shops Home Bargains and B&M on Saturday.

Social media savvy Molly documented her and her beau's trip to the shops that offer low price deals on food, drinks, cleaning products and homeware - and told how Tommy found the experience 'fascinating.'

Molly - who is said to earn a whopping £400,000 a month as Creative Director for Pretty Little Thing - uploaded one video that showed her and Tommy's haul inside a trolley.

"I think Tommy's enjoying our little trip to Home Bargains," she told her fans.

Tommy then said in another upload: "Let me tell you, B&M Bargains, I've never seen anything like it.

"These drinks that you get in the gym, they're here and they're 89p. Like, hold on, stop what you're doing and process that for a second."

Molly added: "We've really stocked up, guys. Honestly, B&M trips are the one."

She also typed atop of the footage: "He's absolutely fascinated."

In another video, she showed that she had taken a snack off the shelf and eaten it before going through the checkout.

After the video was added to Molly's Instagram Stories, some people took to Twitter to share that they found the video

One social media user penned: "So weeks after being called out for her classist remarks, Molly Mae’s first IG story that isn’t just a photograph is a clip of her and Tommy in Home Bargains/B&M being utterly shocked at the low prices. Does she not have a PR team to advise against s**t like this."

A second added: "Not Tommy and molly mae discovering home bargains."

Others joined in: "something about molly mae and tommy fury being in b&m that’s so funny to me" and "Molly Mae and Tommy Fury shopping in b&m has sent me off."

A person surprised by Molly munching on a snack before paying added: "Molly Mae eating biscoff before paying for it in B&M was not what I expected to see today #mollymae."

Earlier this month, Molly-Mae sparked a furious backlash when footage from an old podcast emerged showing her making comments about fame and wealth that most of her followers branded “tone deaf”.

The star shared her belief that everyone is capable of building success if they work hard – but her ham-fisted approach to expressing this outlook caused many to question if the star was aware of her own privilege.

She argued: “You’re given one life and it’s down to you what you do with it. You can literally go in any direction.

"When I’ve spoken about that in the past I have been slammed a little bit, with people saying ‘it’s easy for you to say that because you’ve not grown up in poverty, so for you to sit there and say we all have the same 24 hours in a day is not correct.’ But, technically, what I’m saying is correct. We do.”

But she then caused a furore by adding: “I’ve worked my absolute a**e off to get where I am now.”

Fans were furious with the star – accusing her of never doing a hard day's work in her life and highlighting she owes her fame and fortune to the simple fact she appeared on one of the biggest reality shows in UK TV history after which brands lined up to grant her big-money endorsement deals.

Other old footage emerged of Molly-Mae baulking at the thought of working a 12 hour day causing more upset.

While others slammed her for her comments when she is ‘Creative Director’ of a brand whose parent company was rumbled for paying staff just £3.50 per hour.

Yet more embarrassment has befallen the reality star as further footage emerged of her failing to answer how or why she achieved her role as a Creative Director – as she simply argued she deserved the job because she “believed” she did.

While an apology issued by the star only served to add even more fuel to the public anger as she was accused of being disingenuous.
