Molly-Mae Hague ’s new home has hit disaster as she blamed the crumbling roof on workmen 'ripping rooms out'.
The former Love Island star and boyfriend Tommy Fury finally found their dream home following a three year search, and snapped up the luxury mansion in Cheshire for a whopping £4 million.
The contemporary home, which counts footballers Marcus Rashford and Jordan Pickford as neighbours, boasts six bedrooms, dressing rooms and stunning manicured gardens and Molly and Tommy have already set about renovating the property.
But the couple have hit a snag, as the influencer revealed the ceiling is “coming down” after workmen began ripping walls out to extend the already huge rooms.
In a video on her Instagram Stories, Molly said she discovered the leak on the ground floor that has “saturated” the living room.
“Honestly, I just heard a load of dripping noises and walked into our formal living room area - the ceiling's coming down. The roof is saturated,” she complained.
“The ceiling of the living room is saturated. The carpet is saturated. So, that's nice,” she sarcastically added.
Molly said the problems began when complex work got underway on the property, as they wanted to extend Tommy’s dressing area, as well as creating a walk-in wardrobe for her.
“To be fair, I think we're only having a few issues because we're ripping rooms out - pipes are being knocked, water systems are being messed around with. So, I'll keep you updated,” she said.
The PrettyLittleThing creative director recently revealed more of their renovations, and said work has progressed quickly on their new home.
Taking her followers on a walking tour of the building work, Molly said: “Now walking through to Tommy's dressing area which is a complete and utter shambles.
“I just can't believe how much they've got done in literally the two days that I wasn't here for but obviously carpet will be running through... Tommy's wardrobe are actually not changing - just the flooring underneath,” she explained.
