Molly King, Oti Mabuse and Amanda Holden among stars to enjoy day one at Wimbledon

Molly King and Oti Mabuse were among the celebrities to attend the first day of Wimbledon 2023.

Singer King, 36, and Strictly star Mabuse, 32, were among the stars at the All England club on Monday - the first day of the 136th competition. They were hosted by champagne brand Lanson - a sponsor of the championships for 46 years.

Amanda Holden, Ashley Roberts, Rochelle Humes and husband Marvin and pregnant Pixie Lott and husband Oliver Cheshire were also spotted at the tennis tournament.

Meanwhile US Open winner Emma Raducanu - who is not playing due to injury - was seen at the Evian VIP area in SW19. The 20-year-old tennis star is an ambassador for the water brand.

On Monday, British number four Harriet Dart became the first British casualty at Wimbledon after she lost in three sets to Frenchwoman Diane Parry.

She had an impressive build-up to her home grand slam, reaching the quarter-finals in Nottingham and Birmingham, but fell 6-7 (4) 6-0 6-4 to Parry.

Dart, who reached the third round in 2019, was up against it from the start in tricky conditions on Court 12, where the wind was causing issues, as she fell 3-0 down in the opening set.

Meanwhile, world number one Iga Swiatek did not take long to get her Wimbledon campaign off to a winning start, beating Zhu Lin.

The Polish star has never never made it past the fourth round at Wimbledon, but she is currently the favourite to take home the women’s title in SW19.
