Mollie Gallagher is worlds away from Coronation Street character as she debuts makeover

Coronation Street star Mollie Gallagher has wowed her followers as she showed off her new blonde hair transformation.

The 25-year-old actress is known for her curly dark locks away from the cobbles and her Corrie character Nina Lucas – who is Roy Cropper's long-lost niece – flaunts an edgy gothic style.

On the ITV soap, Mollie's character Nina is seen with dark shoulder-length locks and a platinum blonde fringe along with dark clothes and makeup to go with her stunning gothic style.

But, it seems Mollie fancied a change as she's opted for a hair transformation – leaving fans fawning over the results of her makeover.

On Monday evening Dancing on Ice star, Mollie posted a series of snaps to show off her now completely blonde locks tied into a high bun with her fringe tumbling either side of her face.

Mollie added a black scrunchie in her hair to contrast against her newly-dyed tresses as she confidently posed in a vintage-style black dress, with white detailing around the corset and pink flowers on the neckline.

More black and white snaps added to the post showed Mollie's former staple look, which has blonde at the front and dark at the back and put into a half-up-half-down style.

Mollie's new look comes a week before she's due to hit the ice rink on ITV's Dancing on Ice, which airs in January.

The actress joined the line-up in October alongside Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, football star John Fashanu and actress and DJ Patsy Palmer.

Mollie's addition to the line-up was announced on Lorraine as she admitted she was excited to join the show but nerves had also begun to creep in, too.

Mollie shared: "I'm really excited. I've not really felt nervous yet but being here today, now I'm feeling it. Back in the day, I've skated at Christmas markets but before the try out for Dancing on Ice, I went on the ice."

"I'll be getting all the tips I can," Mollie revealed as she confirmed she'd be chatting with her fellow Corrie stars who have taken to the ice.

Jane Danson and Sally Dynevor are just two of a number of Corrie stars who have given the show a go.

"I’ll be getting all the tips I can because I’m going to need it," she said.

The next series of Dancing on Ice will kick off in early 2023, however, no official start date has been confirmed yet.

The competition usually begins in the middle of January, with last year's series starting on January 16.
