Firing a fresh salvo, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, without naming TMC MP Mahua Moitra, said that a Parliamentarian’s login ID for the Lok Sabha was opened from Dubai while the MP was in India, endangering India’s national security. In response, Ms. Moitra demanded that details of locations from where the parliamentarians’ log-in IDs were accessed and where they were present should be made public.
The Ethics Committee headed by BJP MP Vinod Kumar Sonkar will hold its first meeting on the case on October 26. Both Mr. Dubey, who filed the complaint accusing Ms. Moitra of availing pecuniary benefits in exchange for asking questions on behalf of the Hiranandani Group, and Ms. Moitra’s former partner, advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai, who provided the evidence to Mr. Dubey, have been called for the first meeting.
Mr. Dehadrai, meanwhile, has written to Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora complaining of a threat to his life, requesting the Delhi Police to extend protection to him. Mr. Dehadrai claimed that he has been receiving “multiple strange messages from unknown numbers”, and calls from unregistered numbers, and has had people barge into his residence ever since he filed his complaint against Ms. Moitra to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and to Mr. Dubey.
Mr. Dubey, in a post on social media platform X, alleged that national security had been compromised for money. “A MP mortgaged the country’s security for some money. The Parliamentarian’s ID was opened from Dubai, when the MP was in India,” he posted.

Underlining the importance of the breach, Mr. Dubey said that the Government of India’s entire administrative apparatus functions on the National Informatics Centre’s network, which also hosts the Parliamentarians’ accounts on it.
The TMC and Opposition parties have been largely silent on the issue after expressing solidarity with Ms. Moitra when the news first broke.
In response, Ms. Moitra has demanded that information on all Parliamentarians should be made public. She has been saying that the MPs’ staff also have access to the log-in IDs. “Request NIC to please release ALL details of MPs publicly to show they were physically present in place from where IDs were accessed by their PAs & researchers/interns/staff. Don’t use Fake Degree wala for leak, make this public NOW,” she posted on X.
She continued her attack on the Adani Group, alleging, “unknown Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) own Adani shares whose origin SEBI cannot find & Adani gets MHA clearance to buy Mumbai airport”. This, she said, “is the real question of National security. Not email ID that every PA & every unchecked intern team of every MP has publicly & accesses at will”.
Ms. Moitra said that she was receiving the message about an impending CBI raid on her. “I am busy with Durga Puja. I invite CBI to come home & count my pairs of shoes. But first please file FiR into ₹13,000 crore coal money Adani stole from Indians,” she posted on X.
She also referred to a “deal” asking her to “shut up“ for six months in return for “peace”. “Sorry Mr. Adani. I am not taking your deal to shut up for six months in return for ‘peace’. And nor am I taking the second deal where I am allowed to attack you but not the PM. Adani used to CASH TO NOT QUESTION. Now he is forced to create a fake CASH FOR QUESTIONS,” Ms. Moitra said.
