Liverpool have been handed a potential boost in their reported pursuit of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The Reds have been heavily linked for the Ecuador international over the last few months, after impressing since signing for the Seagulls. Caicedo was also the star for his country at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
As well as Liverpool, the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest.. The latter have the midfielder’s former manager, Graham Potter, in charge who brought Caicedo to the Premier League from Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle.

Now, according to a report in The Mirror, Liverpool may be handed a boost in their apparent pursuit of Caicedo. It has been claimed that Brighton have lowered their asking price for the player.
The article states that Brighton would be willing to sanction an exit for Caicedo for a fee of around £65 million. It has also been claimed that Liverpool are one of the clubs who are in the race to sign the midfielder.
As well as this, the report claims that Liverpool are “well placed” to make a move to sign Caicedo should that become an option during the January transfer window, and are even one of the “front runners”. But it is also claimed that Chelsea and Newcastle United are also in the running to sign the player this month.
