Malayalam cinema’s heavyweight Mohanlal is respected all over for his talent. At 57, he shows no signs of stopping and has just delivered a hit with Velipadinte Pusthakam, better known for its hit song Jimmikki Kammal. There are so many versions of the song now.
Mohanlal, however, is also a quintessential family man. He posted a picture of his wife Suchitra and two kids, Pranav and Vismaya. Like dad, Pranav too will be making his film debut as an adult with Aadhi, which is set to release in 2018. Pranav made his debut as a child artist in his father’s film Onnaman (2002) and went on to do a lead role in Punarjani in the same year. Before signing for Aadhi, Pranav has assisted Jeethu Joseph in two films--Papanasam and Life of Josutty.

We can’t help but notice that Vismaya is a striking image of her mother Suchitra.
Mohanlal has had a wonderful run at the box office with films like Pulimurugam, Oppam and Loham all hitting the bull’s eye. His film Randamoozham (Second Turn), based on the 1984 Malayalam novel by MT Vasudevan Nair, has been in news since it was announced. Its budget at Rs 1000 crore has been the biggest talking point and Mohanlal will play the lead in the film as Bhima. Nair’s novel is a narration of the epic Mahabharata from the perspective of the second Pandava. The film will be directed by ad-filmmaker Shrikumar Menon.
Telugu superstar Akkineni Nagarjuna is likely to play the role of Karna in this epic drama. While there hasn’t been any official confirmation, Nagarjuna has accepted that he was approached for the role.
