Your Liverpool media round-up for Friday, April 1.

Salah will do 'everything on his part' to join Barcelona

Mohamed Salah 'would do everything on his part' to complete a blockbuster summer transfer to Barcelona, according to reports in the Spanish media.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, the La Liga giants have been 'informed' of the player’s preferences and have been made aware that he ‘would do everything on his part’ to complete a transfer. Furthermore, the publication claims that Liverpool have 'threatened' Barca that they will not be drawn to the negotiating table.

Salah’s future has been discussed at length in recent weeks with the 29-year-old yet to agree to a new deal with the Reds. When asked about the contract negotiations earlier this month, Jurgen Klopp said that Liverpool 'cannot do much more' except wait for the forward's final decision.

Salah has been in fine form for Liverpool this season, scoring 28 times in 36 appearances in all competitions for Klopp's side. The ECHO understands that negotiations are ongoing between the forward's representatives and the club, with Salah in the final two years of his current deal that was signed in 2018.

Hamann sends Guardiola warning

Former Manchester City and Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has predicted that Jurgen Klopp's men will be crowned Premier League champions in May.

Pep Guardiola's side sit just one point ahead of the Reds with nine games to go. The Merseyside club have a better goal difference than City, an advantage which could turn out to be crucial come the end of the season.

Many are predicting that Liverpool's trip to the Etihad on Sunday, April 10 will end up deciding the title race and now Hamann has sent a warning to Guardiola and his side less than a fortnight before the two teams meet in the league. He told Anfield Watch : "I think Liverpool will come out on top, but it’s a really exciting title race and there’s that game at the Etihad coming up."
