Mohamed Salah sent Liverpool transfer message by former Real Madrid president

With the form Mohamed Salah has been showing this season, it was only natural that Real Madrid would start talking about Liverpool's Egyptian king.

Salah scored his 17th goal in the Premier League in Saturday's win over Norwich City and former Madrid president, Ramon Calderon, made it clear where he wants Liverpool's number 11 to play next season.

The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with a move for French superstar Kylian Mbappe, but Calderon dreams of seeing both the PSG star and Salah at the Bernabeu.

Liverpool and Salah are currently in talks over a new deal with the Egyptian's current terms set to run out in June 2023.

Salah scored his 150th goal in just 233 Liverpool appearances on Saturday and his form this season has put him amongst the best player's in the world.

Madrid are transitioning since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and are trying to become a main contender in the Champions League once again - signing Salah could push them towards this.

"I hope to see Mohamed Salah in Real Madrid as a distinguished and influential player who helped Liverpool win many championships," said Calderon, speaking on the No. 10 program with Karim Ramzy on Egyptian TV.

"And since he won the Champions League with Liverpool, I hope he is in Real Madrid."

Madrid's top target in the transfer window is PSG's Mbappe, but his signing would warrant no fee so signing Salah could well be possible for the La Liga side.

"Mbappe and Salah join Real Madrid? I hope to see this wonderful duo," added Calderon.
