Mohamed Salah's former club take aim at 'ignorant' Chelsea owner Todd Boehly

Mohamed Salah's former club in his native Egypt have responded to the claims made by Chelsea owner Todd Boehly that the Egyptian superstar was a product of the Stamford Bridge academy system.

Man City captain Ilkay Gundogan makes honest 'unstoppable' Liverpool admission

Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan has admitted Liverpool felt "unstoppable" for a period of time last season as the two teams battled it out for the Premier League title.

Liverpool were pipped by City to the title on the final day of the season as they came from 2-0 down at home to Aston Villa to eventually win 3-2 - winning them their second title in a row.

The Reds beat City in the semi-final of the FA Cup as they went on to lift the trophy at Wembley. Gundogan believes having Liverpool as competition has pushed his side on to be better.

Gundogan is one of the lucky few players to have played under both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola and he said to The Telegraph : “It’s incredible to have a team like Liverpool who you have to compete with and who play with such intensity. They push every single game and for a period of time last season they felt unstoppable."
