Mohamed Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has poured cold water on suggestions the Liverpool star would prefer a Spain move if he leaves Anfield.
The Egypt forward renewed his Reds contract last summer, becoming the best-paid player in Liverpool history in the process. Salah has top-scored for Liverpool this season with 22 goals in all competitions, even as Jurgen Klopp's side continue to flounder outside the Champions League spots.
Issa was vocal on social media in the lead-up to Salah agreeing new terms, and has responded to transfer links over the course of this season. Now, amid further reports about the Premier League star, he has once again cleared up the situation.
Reports on the continent had suggested Salah was considering leaving Anfield amid this season's difficulties. The Reds suffered early exits from both domestic cups while their Champions League hopes ended at the hands of Real Madrid in midweek.
Klopp's side could also find themselves out of next season's Champions League if they are unable to make up the necessary ground on Newcastle and Tottenham ahead of them. However, Issa confirmed there have been no discussions over a move for the Reds' leading man.
"Where did you get this from if not even Mohamed and I discussed this?" Issa wrote on Twitter in response to a journalist who reported on the potential exit. "Please tell us."

“I feel great and [I am] excited to win trophies with the club," Salah told liverpoolfc.com after his new deal was confirmed. "It’s a happy day for everyone. It takes a little bit of time, I think, to renew, but now everything is done so we just need to focus on what’s next. I think you can see in the last five or six years the team was always going [upwards].
“Last season, we were close to winning four [trophies], but, unfortunately, in the last week of the season, we lost two trophies. I think we are in a good position to fight for everything. We have new signings as well. We just need to keep working hard, have a good vision, be positive and go for everything again.”
After coming close to an unprecedented quadruple last season, though, Liverpool have found things tougher this time around. If they are unable to finish the season strongly, Salah could find himself preparing for a first season without Champions League football - be it qualifiers or the competition proper - since 2014-15 at Fiorentina.
After the international break, the Reds begin April with a tough trio of games. After travelling to title-holders Manchester City at the start of the month, they face tests against Chelsea and league-leaders Arsenal in the space of just a few days.
