Mohamed Salah has spoken of his pride after scoring 100 times at Anfield and revealed what David Raya said to him after his winning goal against Brentford.
Liverpool’s hopes of a top-four finish received a huge boost with a hard-fought win against the Bees at Anfield on Saturday evening. Mohamed Salah’s first-half goal was the difference between the two sides.
The goal was Salah’s 100th at Anfield, and he is now the first player in Liverpool history to score in nine consecutive games on home turf. It is also the third consecutive season that the forward has scored at least 30 goals in all competitions.

Reacting to his achievement, Salah said: "It means a lot to me. I feel at home here. I am happy. We just need to finish the season in the best possible way."
Before he added on his side’s win: "We need to keep winning, so that was the main thing for us today. I’m glad that we did. Nothing mattered more than the three points. We just need to keep going."
Salah could be seen deep in conversation with Brentford goalkeeper Raya as he made his way to his side’s dressing room at the break.
Asked what they were talking about, Salah revealed: "I think he told me I saved, but I told him he hit the ball into my knee, but I am happy that I scored."
The Reds sit one point behind Manchester United in the race for the top four, although Erik ten Hag’s side have two games in hand on Salah’s side. The first of those is against West Ham United on Sunday.
"We take it game by game; we will just see," the Egyptian said when asked about his side's top four chances. "We don’t want to think further; we will see what will happen.
"We have improved in the last couple of weeks; we have won six in a row, and we’ve had a couple of clean sheets, which is really important for us. We are more stable at the moment, which we need to carry on."
