Liverpool have 'no concerns' about Salah allowing his standards to drop if he's to see out his contract next season.
The Egyptian will be free to leave Anfield for nothing next summer if an agreement is not reached in the next year. With no breakthrough in negotiations, the Merseyside club face a very real possibility of the 30-year-old moving on for free.
According to The Mirror, senior sources at Liverpool have 'confirmed' the club have gone as far as they possibly can without breaking their current wage structure and they do 'not anticipate' a compromise.
They do not expect him to 'down tools', however, given he is 'too much of a perfectionist' and the player's conduct throughout the process has been 'exemplary'.

Newcastle United are the latest club to 'enter' the race for rumoured Liverpool target David Raum, according to reports in Germany.
BILD claim the Hoffenheim star - valued at £34m - is set for a big move this summer with plenty of interest from the Premier League. The Likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham have all been linked, although it seems Newcastle are the latest club to join the race.
Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with the 24-year-old full-back, although the report adds the biggest threat to a transfer is the interest from England.
The ECHO previously reported that left back Calvin Ramsay is expected to be the last piece of business this summer with regards to incomings, with a view on bolstering the midfield in 2023.

Liverpool defender Gomez is 'expected' to sign a new contract when the squad return for preseason training, according to reports.
The Telegraph claims, despite interest from other Premier League clubs, the 25-year-old is likely to extend his stay at Anfield. He's currently under contract until 2024 but his future is set to be resolved this summer.
Amid little game time last season, the centre back has been linked with a move away from Liverpool given the 2022 World Cup is on the horizon. However, despite making just 20 appearances in all competitions last term, the latest reports suggest a positive view towards his Liverpool future.
