Model Melinda Messenger looks unrecognisable without her signature blonde hair

Well-known '90s glamour model and TV presenter Melinda Messenger has been showing off her new look grey hair. The model, who rose to fame in the late 1990s, has let her famous blonde locks grow out. Posting a picture to Instagram, where she was also not wearing any makeup, she asked for hairstyle advice from her fans.

She said: "Well like the trees leaves change their colour through the seasons so do we. Do I blend out the blonde or grow it out slowly? Any advice from my hairdresser friends welcome! #SilverHair #GreyHairTransition."

Many fans complimented Melinda on her new look, as BirminghamLive reports. They rushed to compliment the star urging her to embrace the new colours.

One said: "Grow it out and embrace what’s underneath!", another added: "Natural beauty. Let nature take its course. Still got it."

A third added: "I had 2 lots of blond highlights to transition to grey. You will rock the silver." and: "You look beautiful x"

Another: "Grow it out, it will look fab." In 2012 Melinda stopped working regularly on the TV and trained in psychotherapy. She has practised in psychotherapy since 2015.

Melinda was previously married to Welshman Wayne Roberts after they met at his Swansea nightclub. The couple have three children together and have separated twice, once in 2008 and again in 2012.

During her career Melinda has had her own Channel 5 show Melinda's Big Night In and has appeared on Celebrity Big Brother. She has worked for the BBC, on the show To Buy or Not To Buy and ITV's Bingo Night Live.

Melinda was also a pantomime actress, playing Cinderella and she starred in Aladdin alongside Welsh actor John Rhys-Davies.
