A teenage boy has died after a buggy in which he was a passenger rolled at Paracombe, north-east of Adelaide.

Emergency services were called to Pitt Road just after 9:10pm last night.

Police said the 16-year-old boy from Modbury Heights died at the scene.

Another 16-year-old boy, who was driving the buggy, was taken to hospital for observation.

Major Crash investigators examined the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The boy's death is the 13th life lost on South Australian roads, compared with 18 at the same time last year.
