From April, many providers are set to increase their rates, in a move which will impact almost anybody with a mobile phone. Suppliers including O2, EE, Vodafone, Three and Virgin Media are all set to increase their prices to align with either CPI (Consumer Price Index) or RPI (Retail Price Index) measures of inflation, which currently stands at more than 10%.
As such, an increasing number of Shoppers are looking for affordable SIM-only deals to try and manage how much they're spending on their phone bill. Smarty, which has built up a reputation for offering affordable and flexible contracts., is currently offering £60GB of data for just £10 in its latest tech deal.
SIM-only contracts are one of the cheapest ways to keep devices connected as users only pay for the data and minutes used as opposed to the cost of a handset and combined interest. The SIM-only contracts provided by Smarty also offer users the option of cancelling the contract if a cheaper deal is found elsewhere.

The latest deal may prove hard to beat as shoppers will pay £10 a month for 60GB of data, it's the price users would normally pay for half the usage on its 30GB plan. As well as the data amount the plan includes a host of benefits including unlimited calls and texts.
The low-cost SIM-only deal also includes up to 12GB of data roaming across Europe, a price many are paying a lot extra for since Brexit. Before the UK left the EU majority of phone contract prices included roaming charges, but this is now an additional fee on many provider contracts.
Shoppers have until May 9, this year to buy the deal at this price. Once bought shoppers are only tied into the deal one month at a time, after each month they can choose to stay, switch or leave the provider at no extra cost.
This is where users make the most savings, compared to plans where users are tied in at fixed prices for between 12 and 24 months, even if competitor rates become cheaper.
The hard-to-miss deal comes the same week as Smarty launches an affordable tariff for those struggling with rising bills during the cost of living. As part of the same company as Three Mobile, Smarty users can access its new £12 'social tariff'. Customers who receive certain benefits payments will get unlimited calls, texts and data at a discounted rate, and again the choice to leave the plan after each month.
Three's CCO, Elaine Carey said: "With the cost-of-living crisis continuing to put financial pressure on many of our customers, Three is committed to playing its part in the solution. More than ever, people are in need of support and that should include access to affordable connectivity without restrictions."
