IT’S MLB PLAYOFFS TIME WOOOO!
The 2023 bracket of postseason teams is set, and starting Tuesday, we get to see the quest for a World Series title begin.
As we saw last year, the format is a good one: Twelve teams — three Wild Cards in each of the American and National Leagues — will fight it out.
The first rounds — two of them are pairs of Wild Card teams, while the other is a Wild Card squad vs. a divisional winner, with the third-best record of the bunch — are best-of-three series. The winners face the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds in their respective leagues (no reseeding!) and then it’s best-of-five in the Division Series and best-of-seven in the LCS and World Series.
Got all that? Good. Here’s the final bracket:

All four of the opening round series will start on Tuesday and finish no later than Thursday.
The NLDS and ALDS series will start on Saturday, October 7, and the championship series on Oct. 16 and 17. If you want to put the World Series in your calendar, that’ll be on Oct. 27.
That’s it! Enjoy.
