Wednesday was another tough day in the world of MLB fashion.
Earlier this month, the league introduced the Nike Vapor Premier jerseys that are intended to improve mobility and moisture management for players. However, they have received plenty of pushback from players and fans alike for small lettering and, well, revealing a bit too much below the belt.
As the new uniforms were donned across the league Wednesday for team media days, pictures emerged of players’ jerseys being able to be seen tucked into the pants.
Welp.
On Tuesday, MLBPA director Tony Clark voiced his frustration with the new jerseys, which are designed by Nike and produced by Fanatics. Clark hopes there will be alterations made before Opening Day, as do many players.
“Everyone hates them,” Philadelphia Phillies star Trea Turner told The Associated Press.
The rest of the baseball word also had a few things to say:
The new MLB pants are NSFW. Someone's gonna get fired for watching @PitchingNinja highlights at work. https://t.co/he8csvIT6G
