Mixture of rain, cloud, and highs of 15C in Leeds weather forecast on Wednesday says Met Office

It's that time of the year when you don't know whether to wrap up warm or start bringing out your sunglasses.

There has been a mixture of unpredictable weather in Leeds recently, but the good news is that temperatures are expected to warm up today in the city; highs of 15C are expected in some areas of Yorkshire.

While temperatures will heat up, it is likely an umbrella will still be needed as showery outbreaks of rain are expected. Rain will be heavier and more persistent during the late afternoon through to the evening. However rain outbursts will be milder than those on Tuesday.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said there will be "variable, often large, amounts of cloud, with best of any brightness in the east". They added: "Showery outbreaks of rain at times, heavier and more persistent from late afternoon. Milder than Tuesday. Maximum temperature 15C."

From 6am, temperatures in Leeds will be around 9C and cloudy conditions are expected. Noon will be higher temperatures of 13C before it warms up to 14C for five hours.

While some brightness is expected and the day time will generally be dry, Leeds residents can expect a 50 percent of light rain at 5pm before stopping and starting again for four hours between 8pm and 11pm.

The mixture of cloud, sun, and rain is expected to persist through to Thursday and throughout the weekend.
