Mix-up leaves Paisley woman with suitcase full of man's clothes after Jet2 flight to Glasgow

A holidaymaker has shared an appeal after a fellow passenger on a Jet2 flight from Tenerife to the city mistakenly took her suitcase from Glasgow Airport.

Rochelle Mair, from Elderslie, near Paisley, returned from her holiday on Saturday, July 8 with her flight arriving at 1.45am. She had picked up her suitcase from the conveyor belt but later discovered it didn't belong to her.

The 27-year-old opened the black snakeskin suitcase to find it had someone else's belongings inside - and is now trying to track down the man she says the suitcase belongs to.

She told GlasgowLive: "I don’t know what has happened because we got a Jet2 transfer from the hotel in Tenerife, they were picking up loads of people from hotels. As soon as we got off that bus my boyfriend realised someone has the same case as me.

"What happened is he went and took my case out instead of his. When he went to weigh the case, he weighed mine instead of his.

"He has picked up the wrong case off the conveyor belt. The couple must be from somewhere near us to get a flight into Glasgow.

"I’ve got my house keys and purse, everything in the case is replaceable. You just don’t think it will ever happen to you.

"I have travelled for years so I was just a bit shocked when I opened it and found it wasn’t mine."

Rochelle's suitcase was a medium-sized one and had a rose gold zip - similar to the one she took home - with the word 'constellation' written at the front.
