Before its screening next Thursday, The Little Mermaid has already splashed onto the local fashion scene. Disney’s Ariel appears on various prints from The Little Mermaid by Misty Mynx collection.
The live-action remake of the animated movie stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, who’s the youngest and most defiant daughter of King Triton. The Misty Mynx and Disney collaboration reinterprets the mischievous mermaid as a sexy and stylish girl.
Miss Universe Thailand 2016 Chalita Suansane represents this version of Ariel in the campaign images.
The sea princess centres a scarf T-shirt with beaded embroidery. On other T-shirts, beads adorn typography while sequins shimmer on the Ariel print or mesh sleeves recalling mermaid scales.
A white crop blouse with peasant sleeves and matching shorts feature the character in all over print while a crop top with a halter chain strap and wide-leg pants portray marine life through the Under The Sea print.
The mix and match can include a white pleated corset crop top evoking shells, worn over a mesh sheer top with a mermaid print, and matched with flared pants designed with a waist chain.
Those preferring a one-piece look can go for the coral embroidered jumpsuit, a pink ruched mini dress with a jellyfish and a coral print, or a black mini dress with an Ariel print adorned with glitter detail.
