Missy Elliott, the iconic rapper and producer, is set to embark on her first-ever headlining tour titled OUT OF THIS WORLD — The Missy Elliott Experience. The 52-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will kick off the 24-city tour on July 4, visiting major cities such as Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Brooklyn before concluding on Aug. 22.
Joining Elliott on this momentous tour will be her longtime collaborator and producing partner, Timbaland, along with acclaimed artists Busta Rhymes and Ciara. Fans can secure pre-sale tickets starting Tuesday, with general ticket sales opening on Friday.
In a statement, Elliott expressed her excitement about this new chapter in her career, stating, “This is an incredible time in my life as I am experiencing so many milestone ‘firsts.’ Being the FIRST female Hip Hop artist to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and now going out on my FIRST headline tour.”
The tour is a culmination of years of fan anticipation, with Elliott waiting for the right moment to deliver a show that is nothing short of spectacular. She emphasized the importance of sharing this experience with her fans and her musical family, promising an unforgettable journey OUT OF THIS WORLD.
Live Nation, in collaboration with Elliott’s manager Mona Scott-Young, is producing the tour. The creative team behind the tour includes Grammy-winning music video director Dave Meyers, celebrity stylist June Ambrose, and creative director Hi-Hat.
Missy Elliott’s illustrious career spans decades, marked by four Grammy wins and a string of chart-topping hits such as The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly), Get Ur Freak On, Work It, and Lose Control.
