Missing West Lothian schoolboy not seen for days as police launch urgent search

An urgent search has been launched in attempts to trace a local West Lothian teenager.

Police in the area have released an appeal to find Ryan Bathgate after the 15-year-old has not been seen for days.

According to officers, the schoolboy was last seen at 2pm on Friday (February 26) in the Whitburn area, but has not been heard from since.

The missing 15-year-old is described as being white, 5’3” tall, with a slim build, short brown hair and blue eyes.

Speaking in a statement on Wednesday (March 2), police urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact 101 as soon as possible.

Police Scotland said: "West Lothian Police are appealing for information in tracing 15-year-old Ryan Bathgate.

"Ryan was last seen at 1400 hours on 26/02/2022 in Whitburn and is described as white, 5’3” tall, slim build, short brown hair and blue eyes.

"If anyone has any information on Ryan’s whereabouts please contact Police on 101 quoting incident number 0853 of 27/02/2022."
