A teenager who went missing last week is now thought to be in Edinburgh, according to police.
Niamh Lynch, 15, was last seen in Lockerbie on February 28. It’s believed she may have boarded a bus to the capital since then.
She’s described as a white female, around 5’ 7”, of average build with long hair. Anyone with information that could help find Niamh is urged to contact Police Scotland.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a female reported missing from Lockerbie.
“There are growing concerns for the 15-year-old, who we believe has since travelled to the Edinburgh area. Niamh is described as a 15-year-old white female, 5 foot 7 tall, average build with long fair hair.
“Anyone who may have seen Niamh, or who has any information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 1149 of February 28, 2023.”
