Missing teen may have travelled to Dundee as cops launch urgent search

A teenager has gone missing overnight from Renfrewshire, sparking an urgent police search.

Malachi Dixon vanished from West Cottage, Bishopton at around 1.30pm on Thursday, June 23.

Cops believe the 16-year-old may have travelled to the Dundee area.

Malachi is described as 5ft 2in tall, of Asian appearance, slim build, with short dark hair.

He was wearing a black Nike tracksuit top and bottoms and black Nike Hurricane trainers when he disappeared.

Officers are now appealing for the public’s assistance to trace the youngster as worries mount for his wellbeing.

They are asking anyone with any information on Malachi's whereabouts to get in touch.

Constable Rhys Warke, of Renfrew Police Station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Malachi’s welfare.

"Anyone who may have seen Malachi or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police via 101, quoting incident 2337 of 23 June.”
