Ashton is described as white, five foot five with short fair hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a grey Nike hoodie, black body warmer, black Calvin Klein shorts with a white stripe down the side and Nike trainers.

In a post on Facebook, officers said: “Officers are appealing for information regarding Ashton McNeish (13) who is missing from home in the Paisley area.

“He was last seen on Sunday, 27 February, in Glasgow City Centre and it is believed that he has travelled to Edinburgh where he has family and friends.

“Ashton is white, 5"5, short fair hair, blue eyes and when last seen he was wearing a grey Nike Hoodie, black body warmer, black Calvin Klein shorts with white stripe down side and Nike trainers.

“Ashton is vulnerable due to his age and has not been seen for two days. Sergeant Paul Connelly asks that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 3620 of Sunday, 27 February.”
