The missing person appeal for 40-year-old Warren Byrne has been stood down following the discovery of a body of a male in Phoenix Park on Friday, June 2.
In a statement following the discovery, Gardaí said they “would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.”
Gardai had initially appealed for the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Warren on May 24, after he went missing from the Arklow area of Co.Wicklow on Tuesday, May 22 at around 3pm.

When last seen, he was wearing a grey Super Dry hoodie, blue jeans, Nike runners and a New York Yankee Cap.
One week later, the Gardaí renewed their appeal, releasing a statement expressing concern for his wellbeing.
The statement said: “Gardaí and Warren's family are concerned for his wellbeing and are again appealing for assistance in contacting him.”
