Missing man last seen in Glasgow nearly a month ago could be using an alias

A man who was last seen in Glasgow over three weeks ago could be using an alias, police have said.

David Kean, who was previously reported under the name David McGinn, was reported missing from the Cardonald area of Glasgow. He was last seen at Glasgow Central Station at approximately 1.37pm on Sunday, January 15.

The 50-year-old's movements after this, however, remain unclear. It is believed that David could be using alias names, and may have family in the Preston area. David is described as 5ft9in, bald and of medium build.

Now, as the search effort rages on, officers are again asking for the public's help as part of their ongoing efforts to trace David. Anyone with any insight as to his whereabouts is being encouraged to come forward.

Sergeant Iain McGillivray of Govan Police Office said: “I urge anyone who has seen David since 15th January 2023 to contact police.

"Even if what you know seems trivial or insignificant, please get in touch as every piece of information could help us find out where David may be.”

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2162 of the 26th of January 2023.
