Missing Levi Davis' Instagram has been active MONTHS after X Factor star vanished

A friend of Levi Davis claims the missing X Factor star's Instagram was active months after he disappeared.

Spanish police have said they’re not ruling anything out in their investigation into the rugby star - amid fears he may have drowned off the coast of Barcelona.

The 24-year-old was last seen in October 2022, when he left the UK for Ibiza after suffering an injury.

But he then suddenly left a friend he had been staying with, and took a boat to Barcelona without his clothes or cash and has not been seen since.

He was last spotted at an Irish pub almost six months ago.

But now, a close friend has told the Sun that his Instagram account keeps showing as active and online.

Chantelle Small knew Levi through his family, and the two grew closer through their shared love of music.

Several times since he’s vanished she says she has seen his social media account appear as “active”.

She still hopes her friend will be found alive but said his disappearance made “no sense".

She told Sun Online: “I kept going online on his Instagram and it kept showing ‘activated yesterday’ or 'activated today'.

“I suggested to his family to work out who has access to it as well because it gives you false hope.”

The 35-year-old pointed out this raised questions whether anyone else had access to the account.

She said she hoped it was “nothing” and there was another lead that would lead to Levi being found.

The worried friend admitted to reading a lot of articles around his disappearance but said she tried not to check out everyday because it was “too painful”.

She added: “Now and then I message him to see if my text would send and say 'hope you're okay you're safe'. You got to still have a bit of hope. You got to try and think that maybe he's hiding, that's the only possible way to think about it.”

It comes as Spanish police started searching two new areas for Levi.

Police have been looking in the port of Barcelona, and in the Llobregat Delta, wetland zones near the city, for him.

A spokesman for the Mossos d’Esquadra regional police force said: “A search is taking place for the man last seen on October 29 in Barcelona port and the Llobregat Delta. It’s being conducted by the Mossos’ Maritime Police and the Aquatic Unit.

“It’s an underwater search with the Maritime Police in the boats and the divers involved belonging to the Aquatic Unit.

“The search is taking place because of the possibility this person could have fallen into the water, from information received following his disappearance, around the time he was last seen."
