Missing Irvine man vanished after getting off train leaving family 'worried sick'

The friends and family of a missing Ayrshire man are "worried sick" as they have launched an appeal to find him.

Evan Reid, 31, was last seen in Paisley on Saturday night after getting off at Gilmour Street train station "looking agitated".

He boarded the 9.30pm train at Glasgow Central heading to Irvine, but he got off in Paisley telling his partner "something dodgy was going on", he was last spotted near Inchinnan Road at 10.11pm.

Friends and family are meeting at Paisley Gilmour Street to search for Evan, who is described as 5ft 8in, slim build and brown hair, at 10.15am today.

He was wearing a khaki green hoodie, black body warmer, dark blue jeans and grey trainers.

Someone close to Evan helping lead the search posted: "Evan Reid got on the 9.30pm train from Glasgow Central to Irvine on Saturday night and got off at Paisley Gilmour Street.

"According to the police he was looking agitated and wearing a black bodywarmer with a green jumper underneath with dark jeans on and grey trainers.

"He texted his partner to let her know something dodgy was going on and CCTV at the station has shown him getting off the train looking agitated.

"Last sighting was a pin drop at a location near Inchinnan road at 10.11pm on Saturday night. This is not like him he was going home to his family.

"Please get in touch with Paisley or Irvine police station if you have any information. We have been out in force looking for him and are worried sick."

Anyone with information on the whereabouts should get in touch with Police Scotland and quote incident number 4112 of March 25.
