Missing Eoin O'Sullivan: Edinburgh man spotted in Pentland Hills successfully traced by police

CCTV pictures have been released in the search of a Wester Hailes man who has been missing for nearly a week.

Edinburgh police are continuing to search for 48-year-old Eoin O'Sullivan who left his home in Longstone Grove in the city in the early hours of last Thursday.

Following extensive enquiries, officers have now released CCTV footage of Eoin at Kingsknowe train station around 9.20am on Thursday, 9 July.

He is believed to have made his way to the Bonaly area of the Pentland Hills and has potentially been sighted within that area in the following days.

Inspector Caroline Flynn, of Drylaw Police Station, said: "As time passes, we are becoming increasingly concerned for Eoin's welfare.

"I would like to stress that Eoin's appearance is very different to the current facial photo of him. He is around 6 ft tall and of slim build.

"His photo indicates he may be clean shaven with a shaved head, however he has shoulder-length black wavy hair and a beard.

"We are releasing these CCTV images to give the public a better understanding of what he looks like in the hope that someone may recognise him."
