A 14-year-old Arizona girl who went missing from a group home was found dismembered weeks later, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Emily Pike was last seen in January in Mesa, Arizona, before being reported missing from her group home, ABC 15 reported.
The home had a troubling history, with Mesa Police confirming that it had generated 30 missing persons reports over the past three years. Pike herself had been reported missing four times since 2023.
On February 14, hikers discovered trash bags containing human remains off U.S. 60 near Globe, Arizona. On February 27, the remains were later identified as Pike's.
The Gila County Sheriff's Office, Mesa Police Department, FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the San Carlos Apache Police Department are all involved in the case, as Pike's family is part of the San Carlos Apache Tribe.
Investigators have identified leads, but have not yet named any suspects.
