Missed out on Glastonbury tickets? These homes would give you local sale access — and they're all under £400k

The must-have Glastonbury accessory these days? It’s not the Hunter wellies or the ever-more elaborate Shewee-style device — it’s the golden-ticket postcode that gets you there in the first place.

Ticket sale victims (there were around 2.5 million last year) must swallow any resentment towards local residents who have access to a priority sale following the bunfight general event, now a long-running sweetener from the Eavis family.

This is split into ‘inner’ areas — doorstep villages like Pilton and Glastonbury itself — and a wider ring of ‘outer’ residents who gain access to the booking site an hour later.

New data from removals comparison site Compare My Move has highlighted the average house prices in the catchment area for the locals sale, where some villages command triple the price tags of near neighbours.

It found that the average house price in these priority zones is £460,032, with property in the village of Alford costing an average of only £233,047.

Are we suggesting you move your life to a specific corner of Somerset for the annual Glasto ticket? Of course not.

But then again — why buy in trendy Bruton when you’d be just outside the catchment zone?
