'Mischievous' labrador kicked out of doggy day care after just 20 minutes

A naughty pooch has set a new record after being booted out of doggy day care just 20 minutes after being dropped off. Owner Selby, from Cincinnati, Ohio, explained how her curious labrador, named Ducky, wanted to explore his new surroundings at day care - and decided the best way to do this would be to jump the fence keeping him in.

After successfully clearing the 6ft fence, Ducky decided to go for a run around until the day care worker caught him and brought him back into the centre. But knowing he was going to be too much to handle, the day care worker phoned up his owner, asking her to come back and collect him as soon as possible.

Recalling the event from Ducky's point-of-view on TikTok, Selby said: "Today was my first day of doggy day care - and I made it 20 minutes before I got kicked out.

"They have this really tall fence in the back yard. I thought it was a game for us, I thought it was like 'Who can jump over the fence? kinda thing.

"So I jumped over it, showing off to my friends. The lady started chasing me - and I then gathered, I was not supposed to jump the fence.

"The lady called my mum and was like 'Listen, come get your mutt. I'm not watching him anymore - he's a safety issue".

But it all worked out for Ducky as not only did he learn he can clear 6ft fences - but he also got to take an impromptu trip to Chick-fil-A with his owner for a serving of grilled nuggets.

Describing Ducky's personality, Selby told Newsweek: "He is always doing something silly. He keeps my day very interesting!

"He is very mischievous and full of energy. I can't imagine a day without him."

Commenting on his antics, one TikTok user said: "Was it clearly posted 'No jumping'? I’m thinking not..."

Another user added: "He broke the rules and still got snackies. He's got you wrapped around his paws."

A third user said: "Listen. This man has been framed. I won't hear such slander."

One more user added: "Got in trouble and still got treats! Best mum ever."
