She’s a national treasure, legend and Vogue’s latest cover girl - yes stage and screen actress Miriam Margolyes has made headlines with the latest cover for the fashion magazine (we’ll let you google why!)
To go alongside the next issue, Vogue have released an episode of ‘In My Bag’, where celebrities share all the essentials and random stuff lurking in the bottom of their handbags.
Amongst a series of interesting items; like a scarf, photographs, reading glasses, a $5 dollar bag (inside a bag), the Harry Potter actress pulls out a travel-sized tub of everyone’s favourite, Nivea Crème.
Commenting on the item, priced from £1.99, Miriam said: “Oh yes… Every girl needs that. A pot of Nivea - to moisten areas which get dry. And I leave it to you to work out which they are…”
So it’s no wonder why Nivea Crème searches are up 56% from the day before - and the video has amassed over 49,000 views in just a few hours.
The household favourite, originally invented back in 1911, is the original all-purpose cream for hands, body and face and intensively moisturises and soothes the skin – wherever you may choose to use it.
Miriam joins a plethora of British celebrity fans including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Dawn French.
The iconic and versatile product is enriched with skin related Eucerit, which provides the skin with all the protective care it needs to stay soft and supple. Ideal for daily use wherever the skin needs care, this product is also skin compatibility dermatologically approved - so perfect for even the most sensitive skin.
And is there anything more satisfying then peeling the foil lid off a brand new pot, and inhaling that even more iconic scent? Because we don’t think so.
In the latest episode, featured on Vogue's Youtube channel, the British-Australian icon reveals all of her tote bag essentials, including a bag within a bag. She explains why by saying ‘I always carry an old bag like this because I am an old bag,’ holding up her floral tote.
Among the plethora of items Miriam Margolyes has collected, she also carries a spare pair of knickers, naturally, an onion and her memoir ‘This Much is True:’, and says ‘It’s got naughty tales of the people I’ve slept with and the people I haven’t slept with.’
After confessing to making Elizabeth II roll her eyes when they once met inside Buckingham Palace, Miriam shows off her other must-haves in her tote bag - including her scent of choice, Jo Malone’s Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne.
Just when we thought we couldn’t love Miriam anymore, she’s literally just like us…
