A Class AA Minor League Baseball game between the Arkansas Travelers and the Wichita Wind Surge produced a viral moment on a seemingly routine play.
In the sixth inning, Travelers first baseman Robbie Tenerowicz hit a ground ball to third base. On pace to be out by multiple steps, the throw came in up the line, pulling the first baseman off the bag. To avoid the tag, Tenerowicz turned around and started running back towards home plate. As space ran out and he realized his fate, Tenerowicz turned toward the first baseman and jumped into him as though he was a basketball player attempting to draw a foul. He then gestured to the umpire, as though he was asking for a whistle.
Here’s the hilarious clip.
He couldn't get to first so he tried to get to the free throw line 😭 pic.twitter.com/ul1r9PRAgu

Who says baseball isn’t supposed to be fun?
Fans chimed in with plenty of jokes on social media.
And just like Harden in the playoffs he didn’t get bailed out by the refs 😂 https://t.co/LEk8OA84jB

Shooter stuck his leg out, trying to draw contact. That one's going the other way. https://t.co/h1JyM2qTun

Total flop. The first baseman was set and in legal guarding position. https://t.co/IUyzhlLJhU

Bravo, Mr. Tenerowicz. Minor league baseball is the best.
