A Dublin Minor Hurling League game was abandoned yesterday after an umpire was allegedly assaulted.
The match, between Naomh Fionnbarra and Clanna Gael Fontenoy, took place in Sean Moore Park in Sandymount but was stopped by the referee early in the second half.
The umpire was treated for injuries by medics at the venue and gardai were called to the scene. Officers are now probing the incident.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai received report of an alleged incident at a GAA sports ground in Dublin 4 yesterday afternoon Sunday, 5th March 2023. Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
