The Minnesota Vikings didn’t play on Monday night but they still saw their odds to be the number one seed get better as the Commanders beat the Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 32-21.
The game itself was mostly controlled by the Commanders. They forced the Eagles to turn the ball over three times and Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke forced an unnecessary roughness penalty after dropping to both knees on a critical fourth down inside the two-minute warning.
The loss by the Eagles puts the Vikings in a tie for first place in the NFC and although the Vikings lose the tiebreaker, it puts them in a better spot to potentially get the illustrious top seed and a first-round bye.
Vikings cornerback Akayleb Evans even took to Twitter to thank the Commanders for pulling out the victory,
Commander’s thank you
