Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, drawing on his background as a football coach, delivered a motivational speech on Monday as Election Day loomed just eight days away. Walz likened the current political landscape to a tied football game with two minutes left on the clock, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and perseverance. Quoting the renowned former University of Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler, Walz rallied the crowd with the mantra, 'the team, the team, the team.'

Encouraging a final push in the lead-up to the election, Walz urged supporters to give it their all, stating, 'So all gas, no brakes for the next eight days. Plenty of time, plenty of time to sleep when you’re dead.' The event, held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, also featured Vice President Kamala Harris, who was introduced by Walz.

The gathering in Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan, showcased a unified front as political figures and community leaders came together to energize supporters and emphasize the importance of civic engagement.
