Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz expressed his belief that former President Donald Trump will likely concede the election if he loses to Vice President Kamala Harris. Governor Walz reiterated his confidence in the security of US election systems and pledged to work for the winner, whether it be Harris or Trump.

When questioned by reporters before boarding his flight to Washington, DC, Governor Walz stated that based on historical precedent, he believes Trump will concede if he loses. Trump and his Republican allies have previously indicated they would accept the election results if no evidence of fraud is found. However, Trump's false claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election led to attempts to challenge the results.

Governor Walz shared his approach to tracking election returns, mentioning that he does not closely monitor vote counts in specific regions or demographic groups. Instead, he plans to consult with his team members who do track this data and follow TV coverage. Additionally, he hinted at going for a jog later in the day after arriving in Washington.

Regarding his communication with Vice President Harris, Governor Walz stated that he had not spoken to her in the last 24 hours but praised her recent remarks at a campaign rally in Philadelphia.
