Last week was the first Minecraft snapshot for version 1.20/1.19.3. As you may expect, this week’s snapshot isn’t nearly as big, making necessary changes to a bunch of the new features that were added last time. The main thing that’s been affected is the creative mode inventory, which underwent a revamp last week, and camels are a little bit different now too.
We’ll walk you through all of the important changes in this snapshot, but if you want to know what you added last time, check out our notes for Minecraft snapshot 22w42a.
Camels - Minecraft
Camels have seen just a couple of small tweaks this week. Firstly, the Camel Spawn Egg item, which can only be obtained in creative mode, has changed its color to stop them from looking too much like other spawn eggs, such as the Ocelot. On top of that, the animation for their walk cycle has changed too, as it was looking a little ridiculous at first, especially during a jump.
Creative inventory - Minecraft
After last week’s snapshot changed some of the tabs on the creative inventory and generally reorganized everything, the community has given feedback on how they’d like things to be laid out. The tabs are still the same, but the icon for each of them makes their contents much clearer and there is a greater color variety. The order in which everything appears has seen a few changes. For example, in the “natural blocks” tab, dirt and stone will appear at the top, as they’re used far more commonly than flowers.
The other changes listed aren’t much worth shouting about, but fence gates that have hanging signs below them will no longer hang from the center, as that doesn’t make much sense. Also, the chat reporting system now shows when a reported player rejoins the chat.
